Where to Stay in Sentosa : Rasa Sentosa

In Sentosa Island, other than the newly opened integrated resorts (Resorts World), there is also a few other options.

As I have stayed at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa before, I feel that I am able to give a better opinion on it.

Rasa Sentosa is a good hotel to stay in. It is near the beach (just walking distance).

The rooms are divided into seaview and hillview. Those with the seaview are really facing the sea.

However, do not expect fantastic views that you get in other islands like Tioman, Redang or Koh Samui.

Sentosa is located at the south of Singapore. There are lots of big ships going by as Singapore is a busy port. So when you look out of your window, expect to see the sea but it will be littered with big ships in the distance. Far from peaceful if you ask me.

The beach is created artificially by importing sand from Indonesia as the original sand was coarse. So the beach is really a lovely white beach. The water however is not crystal clear like that of Tioman or Redang.

Service wise: Rasa Sentosa is really great. No complaints for the 2 times that I stayed there.

Food is not bad too. Try out the restaurant located away from the main building at the far side of the swimming pool.

Singapore Airports

If you are traveling by air to Singapore, there are basically 2 commercial airports: Changi Airport and Seletar Airport

Changi Airport

Changi Airport currently has 3 terminals and 1 budget terminal. It is located at the eastern part of Singapore. Should you arrive by this airport, transportation should not be a problem as you can easily catch a taxi, bus or even MRT (train) to any part of Singapore with relative ease.

Seletar Airport

Seletar Airport is the lesser known commercial airport in Singapore. From here, chartered flights to Tioman and Redang (2 tourist islands in Malaysia) operate. The airline operator is Berjaya Air.

Pan Pacific Hotel

This is truly an outstanding 5 star hotel with wonderful food and rooms with great views.

Pan Pacific Singapore is also located near to a wide array of shopping centres like Suntec City and Marina Square
If you are making travel plans to Singapore, Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore is definitely one of the options that you can choose from.
